Educated at St Andrew's Secondary School in Ashtead, Surrey, Declan graduated with a BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance (2-1) from Southbank University.

Declan joined Capital Asset Finance (formerly the Materials Handling finance subsidiary of FALG) in 1993, where he qualified as an accountant and became Financial Controller.

He joined Five Arrows Leasing Group as Group Financial Controller in 2003 and was appointed Finance Director of Fineline Media Finance in 2006.

Declan is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and in his spare time he plays a bit of golf (5 handicap) at Epsom Golf Club in Surrey and Royal Club de Golf Sotogrande in Southern Spain. He helps run the junior section at Epsom GC, currently as Team Manager.
